Question 1 – Neil has made some mistakes in his handling of the situation thus far. List 3 things that you think he could have done differently and why.

You are Neil Imagine that you are Neil and have recently taken a course on Conflict Management and want to improve your approach to managing conflict.

Question 2 – Problem Identification: List and describe what you think the 3 key issues are for this team.

Question 3 – Listening for Content and Feelings. Each team member has provided Freda with examples of both content and feelings. Provide 2 examples of content and 2 examples of feelings and explain why you chose these examples.

Question 4 – Applying the collaborative discussion model You have decided to bring Renee and Melissa together to have the first in a series of collaborative conversations. List each step of the collaborative discussion model and describe what you would do in each of those steps.

Question 5 – Decision Making Moving forward, you (Neil) want to take a more intentional approach to decision making with the team. Give an example of one decision that the team may need to make now or in the future and describe of how you would use one of the decision making techniques you have learned to make that decision with your team. .

Question 7 – Do you think that they are all potentially integrative negotiations or do you think some of them should be positional?

Question 8 – Choose 1 of the integrative negotiations you listed in question 6.1, and using all the steps you have learned to prepare for a negotiation, state which party in the negotiation you chose, and list and describe each step and prepare for an integrative negotiation.

Question 9 – What do you think the key barriers to integrative negotiation will be in the negotiation that you listed in the previous question? How would you address them?
