Professional Learning Communities Discussion

As campus leaders and facilitators of professional learning communities (PLC), Dufour and Marzano (2013) mention several conditions that must be created by instructional leaders to support the collaborative culture of a PLC.

Provide a narrative description of at least 3 conditions and provide evidence on how each condition can assist in at least one of the four critical questions that teachers must undertake as members of PLC’s as mentioned by Dufour and Marzano (2011):

1. What is it we want our students to learn?
2. How will we know if our students are learning?
3. How will we respond when students do not learn?

4. How we will enrich and extend the learning for students who are proficient? (p. 86-87)
In addition, apply the knowledge from your current roles as educators by including specific examples from your current practice with PLC’s on your campus. Provide at least 2 outside resources using an APA format to support your narrative answers. Use the rubric to help guide your response.
We discuss 6th grade students grades and come up with idea to improve unmotivated students. Low performing students, discipline issues/ Parent teacher conferences are held during these meetings. You can provide other example as well.
