Research Rationale, Research Questions, Aim, and Objectives

1. What is the relationship between socio-cultural factors and diagnosis, identification, and recognition of mental health issues among children in the UK?

2. What are the legislative gaps in promoting mental health among children in the UK?

3. What are the primary care practitioners’ perceptions on the obstacles to preventive approaches to mental health issues among children in the UK?

Method – Literature Review

Theoretical Framework

Integrate General systems theory by Ludwig von Bertalanffy and Goffman’s elaboration of Stigma

Search Criteria – Peer reviews, journals and other sources of information

Inclusion criteria Exclusion criteria

Primary studies published between 2011 and 2021. Unpublished studies

Studies published in English as the primary language. Studies published in languages other than English

Studies focussing on mental health issues among children in the UK. Non-UK studies focussing on target groups other than children.
