Assignment:
• Critically deliberate on the scope and schedule of your term project. Approach with the confidence of a project manager who has interacted with stakeholders and experts to understand the requirements of the project.
o Introduce your term project to refresh the memory of the readers of this post.
o Prepare the scope statement of your project. Scope defines the work to be performed by the project as well as user acceptance criteria, and project boundaries. You may refer to Figure 4-6 Sample Scope Statement in page 124 of the textbook and/or search for online resources.
Elaborate on the required characteristics of your project.
List any features that are not required in this version of your project.
Define the user acceptance criteria for your project.
List your project deliverables. This list must include interim as well as final deliverables.
o Prepare the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for your project and list as per the format in Figure 4-15 Sample WBS in page 138-139 of the textbook. The final WBS will be used to prepare a Gantt chart for Module 4 assignment. Define and defend the logic behind the WBS you are presenting.
o Delineate the critical path for your project. Describe the activities in the critical path, challenges that may cause a delay in the completion of any of them and your plans to manage such situations in the project.
o Finally, in a reflection of at least 30 words, describe the most interesting and challenging parts of preparing for this discussion post, as well as any recommendations to your classmates for preparing the project scope and schedule.
