The Leadership Reflection Critical Assignment

The Leadership Reflection Paper (critical assignment) will require students to explore multiple leadership theories that are considered to be the most fundamental concepts to understanding leadership from the Northouse Leadership: Theory and Practice text. Choose ONE model/approach/theory (Chapters 11 – Adaptive Leadership) that most resonates and apply it to your current/desired leadership position (Finance Manager). You may also include important concepts from other approaches where applicable (Inclusive Leadership). Additionally, students are expected to describe concepts utilizing a minimum of five scholarly references and/or professional resources, which include the Northouse text, to substantiate the authors position, and draw connections to the course learning outcomes addressed throughout the course. Further, an evaluation of your leadership and spiritual growth including any opportunities for continuous development will also need to be integrated into the paper.

Assignment Criteria

1. Describe the organizational context of the current/desired workplace and the specific leadership role in question.

2. Define and describe the theorical leadership style/model/approach/theory including all important related concepts (What does it consist of…).

3. Describe the practical application of the leadership style/model/approach/theory relavant to your current/desired leadership role (How does it work, especially in the context described above?).

4. Analyze the strengths/weaknesses of the chosen leadership style/model/approach/theory in the context of the current/desired workplace and the specific leadership role in question.

5. Based upon evaluation of your leadership questionnaire, spiritual growth, and ethical considerations, discuss opportunities for continuous development.
The organization of the leadership reflection paper might follow the format of any leadership style/model/approach/theory as discussed in the Northouse text. include proper formatting in APA style.
