3. According to the text, a key aspect of emotional competence is adequate emotional vocabulary. For this exercise, you will reflect on your emotional vocabulary. Listed below are some of the more common emotion words people use. For each one, write out four other emotion words that describe subtle distinctions in feeling.
For example, anger may be substituted with: (1)resentment, (2) outrage, (3) offense, and (4) irritation depending on the intensity of the emotion.

4. Extend this exercise by trying to describe your feelings more precisely to others for the next week. Be sure to use I-language.
