A New Developmental Plan
You are the HR manager at a large accounting firm. You are implementing a new developmental plan for the staff accountants. You have been asked to create a slide presentation that you would use to explain this new program to management. Make sure your presentation includes the following:
List the specific objectives of a developmental plan.
Is the developmental plan dictated by the needs of the employee or of the organization? Explain.
What is the direct supervisor’s role in the creation of a developmental plan?
What is the employee’s role in the creation of a developmental plan?
Provide a list of possible developmental activities.
Requirements:
Develop a 10- to 12-slide presentation, not including the title and reference pages, which are required.
You must include a minimum of two paragraphs of notes within the speaker’s note section (for EACH slide) to enhance your slide and prevent clutter, realizing this is a slide presentation for leadership. You may also add audio, if you choose.
Your presentation must be properly cited and formatted according to the CSU Global Writing CenterLinks to an external site. APA 8 standards.
This is an individual presentation; however, you should reflect on our discussion forums and incorporate ideas from there, as appropriate.
Include a formal references page. You must support your analysis with at least 4 to 6 scholarly references and can include resources from this course.
You cannot use Wikipedia or any CSU Global assignment. For this assignment, a credible source is defined as: a scholarly or peer-reviewed journal article,
a government-based website or publication, a trade or industry journal article, publication, or website, including those from trade organizations such as SHRM.org and TD.org.
