Consider the textbook readings for this week. Analyze the role of international law on national policy and on leader choices.
Define international law (Introduction)
What is the role of international law in the process? (First paragraph)

Introduction
International organizations and Alliances operate both independently of but also as agents of the member nations. De Mesquita presents his views on how well/poorly this works, and scholars who adhere to different IR theories (remember those from Week 1?) will also have their views.
